Although I started IVT in January of 2012, I am putting it up now to show that I am actually putting effort and time into it. Yay!

A Long Time

It has been a long time since I’ve updated on anything I’ve been doing. Half-Life 2: Retaliation failed. The latest version of my Contingency map(contingency_urban) was lost. I am doing no more modding, level design, or any of that crap for a while. I just can’t. I don’t have the will to get back to all of that. For now, I’ll just play my games and talk about film.

An amazing film, I tell you. Werner Herzog did an excellent job directing, as the cinematography was beautiful. But Christian Bale as an actor should be commended. He stepped into the role with 100% dedication, and his behavior and mannerisms portray what I would assume would be the result of being stuck in captivity against your will. A role that can not be taken lightly, at that. For anyone who hasn’t seen it, it is a tale of an epic struggle for survival, and how one man can be driven to a breaking point to where his thoughts, actions, and decisions lead him to nothing other than to stay alive for one more day.

Hey everyone,
This will be the last news post for Half-Life 2: Retaliation. Ever. We’re finished.
I restored my computer last night due to virus and data corruption errors, and I had backed up all of my mod files, VMFs etc. to my email. At least I thought I did. When I went to re-download the files from my email, the attachments were not there. My heart stopped.
Everything is gone. The VMFs, pictures, map designs, everything. There is nothing I can do, and for that, I am everlasting sorry. I am sorry that all of you guys around the world will not be able to play this mod. I am sorry that I do not have the heart to continue and start over, as I feel I must dig myself a hole that is but the lowest depth of the world and stay there.
